Amica Insurance Ranked “Highest in Customer Satisfaction” for 11th Straight Year

Lincoln, RI (Vocus) August 3, 2010

Amica Mutual Insurance Co. has been ranked highest in customer satisfaction among national auto insurers for an 11th consecutive year, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2010 National Auto Insurance Study released today.

“To receive this award for 11 years in a row is a tremendous honor,” said Robert A. DiMuccio, president, chairman and CEO of Amica. “It shows that our customers appreciate everything we do to provide them with exceptional customer service, each and every day.”

The ranking is based on a survey of more than 25,000 auto insurance customers who were asked to rate their primary insurance companies on five factors: interaction, policy offerings, billing and payment, price and claims. Amica earned top scores in all five areas, scoring 849 out of 1,000 possible points in the customer satisfaction index ranking. The industry average score was 777.

“We’re constantly working to improve our customer service, from building an additional national call center last year to expanding the functionality of our website,” DiMuccio said. “This award is truly a tribute to each of our 3,200 employees who are committed to creating a special bond with our customers – a bond that generations of Amica customers have counted on for more than 100 years.”

The J.D. Power and Associates award is the latest in a string of honors that Amica has received in the past year, including being named a “Customer Service Champ” by Bloomberg BusinessWeek magazine and being named to the prestigious Ward’s 50 list of top performing insurance companies.
