First FinancialÂ?s New Online Trading Service Empowers Individual Investors

Fort Collins, CO (PRWEB) August 10, 2004

First Financial Design, Inc. has launched a new online trading service that allows customers to be personally involved in their stock market transactions without compromising on quality or safety.

The service offers online trading for as low as $ 9.95 per trade. A unique aspect of the new service is the way it provides individual investors with access to a wealth of information and tools usually available only to professional traders and market makers. Clients can also opt for First FinancialÂ?s personalized execution of their trades.

First FinancialÂ?s online trading software provides individual investors with access to sophisticated risk management and program trading tools, including a unique Â?Trailing StopÂ? feature, which works like an intelligent and dynamic Stop Loss order.

Â?Say you buy a stock at $ 25 and want to limit your risk to a 50-cent loss,Â? explains McCulley. Â?Instead of placing a Stop Order at $ 24.50, you can place a Trailing Stop of 50 cents. If the stock falls by 50 cents in your absence, an order to sell is sent automatically,Â? he says. Â?On the other hand, if your stock rallies to $ 30, your Trailing Stop automatically gets reset to $ 29.50. If the stock starts to fall from the $ 30 level, the market order to sell is sent automatically when the price reaches $ 29.50. So, your gain is maintained even if you are not at your computer!Â?

The new online trading service supplements a wide array of services under the First Financial umbrella. With over $ 50 million under management, First Financial specializes in retirement, tax and estate planning.

With its latest offering, First Financial brings its unique brand of local, personalized service to the world of online trading. Â?Since we understand that one financial decision can effectively change a dozen more, we leave no stone unturned in identifying potential problems for our clients and creating the right solutions for them,Â? says McCulley.

By becoming one of the first financial planning companies to offer online trading services, First Financial continues its tradition of being several steps ahead of the competition. Another recent addition is a new insurance division, providing life, health and long-term health care cover and annuities.

First Financial utilizes the services of an in-house insurance specialist, Janie Meyers, as well as those of customer-care executive Jan Smith. The company also has on tap a wide network of expert planners, attorneys and CPAs to help solve specialized problems for its clients.

InsureMe Provides Resources for Finding Home Insurance Insurance Shopping Service Offers Tips for Hard-To-Find Home Insurance

Denver, CO (PRWEB) July 19, 2006

With the first named tropical storm under our belt, many homeowners are looking for home insurance — and some are having a difficult time finding it.

To help consumers protect themselves from this year’s high-risk weather season, InsureMe, the leading online insurance shopping service, is providing tips for finding adequate insurance protection.

While homeowners in coastal regions of the U.S. are facing dramatic premium hikes — and worse yet, a shortage of insurers taking on new business — the company urges homeowners not to give up on insuring their residence.

“Policies, especially affordable ones, can be hard to find for a lot of people right now,” says Mike Sajdak, InsureMe Chief Financial Officer. “But allows homeowners to shop online and be matched with licensed, local agents in their area who can meet their home insurance needs.”

Still, the company understands that some homeowners in particularly high-risk areas may not be considered insurable by some insurance companies. InsureMe encourages these select homeowners to take advantage of any state and federal programs that are available, such as that in Mississippi, called the Mississippi Windstorm Underwriting Association (MWUA). Programs like the MWUA offer policies to homeowners in especially weather-prone areas, and although these last resort policies typically cost more and offer fewer coverage options, experts agree that some coverage is better than no coverage.

“Homeowners that are insured under a state plan can and should continue to shop for a home insurance policy from a private insurer,” adds Sajdak, “but having some coverage is better than nothing in the wake of a catastrophe.”

InsureMe also stresses the importance of pairing home insurance coverage with flood protection, especially for homeowners in flood-prone areas. In the recent past, there has been a common misconception that standard home insurance covered flood-related damage and loss, a lesson that many learned the hard way after the active 2005 storm season. Experts estimate that over 60 percent of damaged homes in low-lying areas of New Orleans were without flood insurance.

In most cases, flood insurance can be purchased through a licensed home insurance agent; however those in high-risk areas may have to buy a policy through state or federal programs like the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The NFIP offers a variety of flood insurance policies, including those for homeowners with lower-than-average incomes.

In addition to these tips, InsureMe provides a variety of free insurance resources for consumers. The InsureMe Insurance Resource Center contains numerous articles on multiple insurance types; the InsureMe Insurance Blog is also updated daily with insurance tips and industry news. The InsureMe Insurance Blog is part of the greater InsureMe blog network.

Insurance Shopping Service Helps the Uninsured Find Coverage

Denver (PRWEB) December 5, 2005

According to a recent study conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, over 45 million Americans lack health insurance, leaving 16% of the population at significant medical and financial risk.

Growing insurance costs are a major issue facing the uninsured. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, the average annual premium of health insurance jumped 9.2% in 2005, costing a family of four an average of $ 10,880—more than a worker earning minimum wage makes in a year.

As a result of rising health insurance costs, more and more employers are dropping the benefit all together, with the Kaiser Foundation reporting that the number of companies offering health benefits has dropped to 60%, down from 69% since 2000.

InsureMe, a leading consumer-agent link for finding insurance online, is taking strides to help those without insurance find affordable coverage.

The consumer-focused company allows shoppers to compare up to five health insurance quotes at no cost, giving the consumer the freedom to choose the policy that best fits their health needs and their budgets.

“At InsureMe, we take pride in helping consumers find the right health insurance, whether the need is for individual coverage or for a family,” says InsureMe President, Tim McTavish.

“In minutes, consumers can submit their quote request on our Web site or contact our customer relations managers to get help in finding the coverage they need.”

With health insurance costs expected to rise again in 2006, the InsureMe company may be the answer for millions of Americans without coverage.

Colorado Health Insurance Agency Quest Health Plans Announces Online Application and 24 Hour Quoting Service

Englewood, CO (PRWEB) October 29, 2007

Quest Health Plans, a Colorado health insurance agency, announces a new online application and 24 hour quoting service, available through their website. The online portal, which can be visited at, was created to provide a link between old fashioned personalized service and the latest technology, with the goal of giving the firm’s clients the best of both worlds. Services through the online portal are free of charge, and the firm’s association with all major providers allows Colorado residents to find the affordable health insurance they desire.

Visitors to the site using the new service fill out a short form with contact information and zip code, receive plan details, and are able to download applications or even apply online for most of Quest’s providers, including Anthem Blue Cross, Humana One, Kaiser, Aetna, and United Healthcare-Golden Rule. Clients are also able to call in and speak to one of the firm’s principals about affordable health insurance. Colorado-licensed Principals Barbara and Steve Schneiderman have decades of combined experience.

“Everybody needs health insurance,” says agency Principal Steve Schneiderman. “One of our specialties is finding affordable health insurance plans for Colorado students and recent graduates that are no longer covered under their parents’ plans.” While industry trends are indicating a rise in insurance prices, Quest Health Plans has a reputation for searching the market for a balance between the lowest price and highest quality plans.

The firm’s principals have run their own agencies for eleven years and come from backgrounds of customer service and healthcare, rather than high pressure sales. Unlike many insurance agencies, Quest is built around allowing clients to speak to an agent at their own convenience.

Schneiderman adds, “We want our clients to be able to shop at ease, choose from hundreds of offerings, and make their own decisions if they’d like. We’re only here to help find the affordable health insurance Colorado residents deserve.”

Gutter Cleaning -
How to Outsource Gutter Cleaning and Save up to 50%

Getting a gutter cleaning service to take care of your gutters occasionally is essential as a maintenance task. How often depends primarily on whether or not you have big trees nearby your house. For most homes, once or twice/year should be sufficient.

Gutter cleaning is a really important task for maintaining your home and preventing damage.

If you do not have a gutter cleaner come regularly (or do it your self) and they get plugged up with debris, rain water and melting snow can back up and begin to wick under the roofing material. This can cause serious structural damage to your house over the long term.

Of course, downspouts need to be tended to as well for the same reason. These can be challenging because debris can get stuck in the joints in there.

Many gutter cleaning services will drag a hose up on to the roof to flush the downspouts. This is a good idea but not necessarily the most efficient way to unplug your downspouts. For this reason gutter cleaning services that employ this method may charge you more as it’s more time consuming.

The quickest and simplest way which works 99% of the time to assure that water will flow from your roof to your gutters and down is to use a snake like tool to unplug the downspouts. A gutter cleaner who uses this technique can be up 50% less expensive and still provide the same result.

By hiring a professional gutter cleaning company, You’ll save time and money and insure that the roof over your head and the walls that support it do not suffer any structural damage due to back ups.

A light pruning of branches that have grown to obstruct the roof line is also included by most professional services.

So, even though gutter cleaning is a fairly simple task, hiring a professional who is well equipped and acquainted with potential problems makes a lot of sense.
