MediGap Advisors Announces Open Enrollment for Medicare Supplement Plans

Fort Collins, CO (PRWEB) November 22, 2008

MediGap Advisors is pleased to announce open enrollment for Medicare Supplement plans. Medicare Advantage Plans are health plan options that are part of the Medicare program – funded by government, not by premiums. If you join one of these plans, you generally get all your Medicare-covered health care through that plan.

Medicare Advantage plans have no premium unless you add Part D Prescription coverage. You also have the option of setting up a Medical Savings Account, in which the government will actually place money in a savings account in your name, to cover future medical expenses.

To join a Medicare Advantage Plan, you must have Medicare Part A and Part B. You will have to pay your monthly Medicare Part B premium to Medicare. In addition, you might have to pay a monthly premium to your Medicare Advantage Plan, if you take a plan that also includes Part D Prescription Drug coverage. Medicare Advantage plans without Part D coverage do not have any monthly premium. Between November 15 and December 31, you can switch from your current Medicare Supplement plan to a Medicare Advantage plan without going through underwriting of your medical history.

A Medicare Advantage Plan is a popular and hassle-free way to ensure that many medical costs are covered for individuals on Medicare, even when these costs are not covered by Medicare. MediGap Advisors is a leading provider for Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans, offering competitive rates from four leading insurance carriers available across the country.

When a client wishes to apply for either a Medicare Advantage or Supplement plan, MediGap Advisors provides all of the education and resources that they require in order to select the right plan for their needs. MediGap Advisors can discuss your personal needs and assist you in determining which type of coverage will work best for your personal needs.

MediGap Advisors works with four national insurance carriers: Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana One, Mutual of Omaha, and United Healthcare’s Golden Rule. Each of these insurance providers may offer a different rate, depending on the policy holder’s location, age, and medical history. MediGap Advisors’s goal is to provide all of these rates in an easy-to-understand format that will make selecting the right insurance plan easy and stress-free for our customers.

“We are very aware of the needs and concerns that our clients have when they are selecting the right Medicare Supplement coverage,” said Wiley Long, President of MediGap Advisors. “After all, most people selecting a Supplement plan are doing so for the first time. We’re here to provide advice and information that can help them select the most suitable plan for their long-term needs and budget.”
